Court stops Modu Sheriff from conducting PDP primaries in Ondo State


The Ondo State High Court, presided over by Justice Omolara Adejumo, has granted a restraining against the Ali Modu Sherrif faction of the PDP in Edo State.
Ruling on Monday at 9.10am in Ondo State, Justice Omolara Adejumo barred factional leader of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his group from conducting another governorship primary election in the state.
The court recognised the primary already conducted by the Clement Faboyede-led state congress which produced Eyitayo Jegede as the PDP flagbearer in the upcoming elections in the state.
The state high court also ordered Jimoh Ibrahim, Chief Sola Ebiseeni, Bamiduro Dada, Niran Sule, and Abike from presenting themselves as aspirants in the proposed parallel primary.
