Edo girls are prostitutes in Italy, we will rehabilitate them – Mrs Obaseki

Ms Betsy Obaseki, the woman from Rivers State who has been acting as wife of Godwin Obaseki, has described Edo women as prostitutes in Italy.

Betsy Obaseki said that the APC government will stop the trend of Edo girls  “who are engaging in trafficking or travelling to Italy”.

“I think we should first sit down and ask why the situation is like that, it cannot just happen like that. The obvious reason to me is that … failure of government that caused it. People leave the country to go to another country in search of greener pastures. A child who is comfortable in his father’s house will not leave for another man’s house” Ms Obaseki said.

Research by GME Reporters and our Co-source indicate that more Edo indigenes have travelled abroad through land in the last eight years than all previous years combined.

On the other hand, the wife of the PDP candidate, Dr Mrs Idia Ize-Iyamu, has seen nothing but positive in Edo women who have suffered in the last 8 years of Oshiomole’s administration.

Mrs Idia Ize-Iyamu is providing free dental treatment, free cervical cancer screening, amongst others for Edo women.

While Mrs Betsy Obaseki see prostitution in Edo Women, Dr Idia Ize-Iyamu sees hard working women struggling to provide a good life for their family.
