Dr. (Mrs) Idia Ize-Iyamu, wife of the Edo state Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate has assured all that the party would bring primary healthcare to the doorstep of the people if voted into power.
Giving the assurance in Igarra at Africa Redemption Clinic and Maternity in continuation of the free screening for detection of cervical cancer in women, she said that the next PDP government has a comprehensive welfare and medical package for the people.
She advised women to reach out to their husbands and children of voting age to give massive support to the PDP in next weekend gubernatorial election.
Idia who noted that women have a crucial role to play in and outside government said that their numerical strength would determine which party comes into power.

She said:“my good women of Edo state, let me assure you that you have an important role to play in the change that is coming. Mobilise yourselves and do not allow anyone to buy your vote. It is in your interest that you have a listening and sensitive government in place after the election.”
According to her a government that increases school fees at will unmindful of the burden on parents, with basic facilities lacking in the hospital was not credible to receive the peoples mandate.

More than four hundred women benefited from the exercise which continues in other areas.
